Demeter Capital joins the Principles for Responsible Investment of the United Nations

Demeter Capital is the first growth equity agribusiness ESG fund in Mexico. We invest in multiple companies across the sector looking for financial returns as well as a positive impact.

Demeter Capital has become a signatory of the Principles of Responsible Investment, integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) factors throughout the investment life cycle. Demeter Capital is aligned with the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (“SDG´s”) as well as specific impact indicators according to our sector. As we have become signatories, we have a duty to act in the best long-term interests of our beneficiaries. In this fiduciary role, we believe that ESG issues can affect the performance of investment portfolios. We also recognize that applying these Principles may better align investors with broader objectives of society.

The Principles for Responsible Investment are a voluntary and aspirational set of investment principles that offer a menu of possible actions for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice. It is supported by the United Nations.
